Save A Life – Working to Reduce Teen Suicide

The Beginning

Victoria Bennis and Maryanne Monaco started Save A Life in 2010 in response to personal tragedies they both experienced. The original goals of Save A Life were to:

  1. Increase community awareness about the problem of teen suicide.
  2. Educate the community.
  3. Provide resource information for help.

It soon became clear that their concern about teen suicides was shared by many in the community, and Save A Life was born. The organization continues to receive overwhelming support and interest, and Save A Life, Inc. is now a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Cary, North Carolina.

The Future

While continuing with our initial goals, we work to find ways to reach more schools and communities. We provide information to specific local partnering professionals, and are able to give some financial assistance to at-risk families.
